The Maypole Inn, Long Preston - A Traditional Pub and Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales providing excellent Real Ales, Bed and Breakfast and Good Food near Settle and Skipton
**Winner of the Keighley and Craven 2010 Pub of the Year Award **
The Maypole Inn is a traditional village pub and hotel positioned in the Yorkshire Dales village of Long Preston, between the market towns of Skipton and Settle, offering accommodation, real ale, bed and breakfast and food all day.
The pub and hotel are an ideal base for walking and touring holidays. Open Yorkshire Dales moorland, hill slopes of the Pennines, caves and waterfalls are all within easy reach. We close to famous walks such as the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks and also nearby are Dales landmarks such as Gordale Scar and Malham Cove.
In 1695 Ambrose Wigglesworth opened the doors of the Maypole Inn to his first paying customers. Over three hundred years later the joint traditions of hospitality and a warm welcome are still going strong.
Robert and Elspeth Palmer have been running this village pub for over twenty-five years and with their friendly and dedicated staff, have built a reputation for serving excellent food. In 2010 they were delighted to be awarded by Keighley and Craven CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) the title of Pub of the Year.
